Chewacla State Park

This beautiful 696-acre park is located at
124 Shell Toomer Parkway in Auburn and is open from 8am to sunset. The
park is a great place for a picnic, a day of activities or even an overnight
stay in improved camping facilities. There are miles of hiking and
biking trails as well as a 26-acre lake for swimming, fishing and boating.
Other attractions include a playground, tennis courts, picnic areas and a

This 124-acre park is located on
Chadwick Lane in Auburn. You can enjoy all aspects of this park from
sunrise to sunset. There are wonderful walking trails and a pavilion and
picnic area.
Spring Villa Park

This 350-acre park contains a
spring-fed swimming pool, concession area, three outdoor volleyball courts,
horseshoe pit, campground with hookups at 24 spaces, campground lodge,
restrooms, walking trails, outside bandstand, open play area, day camp
compound, picnic shelter, and picnic tables and grills among the wooded area.
Facilities at Spring Villa include an antebellum home listed on the National
Register of Historic Places and lodge that is available for rent to groups of
25 to 500. A full-time caretaker resides on the park grounds.
Tuskegee National Forest

Tuskegee National Forest is located
approximately 15 miles east of the Auburn-Opelika area. There are many
recreational opportunities here, such as an 8.5-mile hiking trail and a
14-mile hiking and horseback riding trail. Tuskegee also offers the
Uchee Firing Range as well as the Tsinia Wildlife Viewing Area where many
native species of birds, reptiles and mammals can be seen.
