The Brownfield House

This 1850s Victorian cottage, owned and restored by the Opelika Historic
Preservation Society, is located in one of Opelika's quiet neighborhoods along
the scenic route through Historic Opelika. It is available for special
events. Group tours are available upon request.
The Crenshaw Guest House

This Victorian-style home is located in
Auburn's Old Main and Church Street Historic District. Built by Auburn
University mathematician Bolling Hall Crenshaw in 1890, the home is now a bed
and breakfast. Open for tours by appointment.
Donald E. Davis Arboretum

Located on the campus of Auburn
University, the arboretum is home to 150 different tree species native to
Alabama and the Southeast. A brochure distinguishes the species to
visitors as they stroll along the walking trails. Open sunrise to
sunset.
Forest Ecology Preserve

Walking trails of the 110-acre Preserve
offer opportunities for birding, observation of wildlife and identification of
trees and wildflowers. Open to the public Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday,
8am-4pm, for scheduled Ecology Programs at the Memorial Canopy.
The Heritage House

This stately Southern mansion of
neoclassical architecture with Corinthian columns and a natural brick exterior
has been converted into a bed and breakfast with an adjoining gift shop.
Built in 1914, the house is located at the entrance to one of Opelika's
historic neighborhoods.
Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church

Built in the 1860s, the church building
was one of the first African-American churches organized after the Civil War
in Alabama. Currently home of the Auburn Unitarian Universalist
Fellowship.
Lewis Cooper Jr. Memorial Library & Arts

In addition to some 50,000 volumes, the
Lewis Cooper Jr. Memorial Library maintains a Genealogy Room, an Alabama Room
and is home to the Opelika Arts Association Gallery where approximately 75
works by professional and amateur artists are permanently housed.
Operating hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-8:30pm; Friday 8am-6pm; Saturday
9am-6pm and Sunday 1pm-6pm. Located at 200 South Sixth Street in
Opelika.
The Opelika Depot

Built about 1920 and restored to its
original style, the Depot houses the offices of the Opelika Arts Association
and Opelika Main Street.
Pebble Hill

Built in 1847, Pebble Hill was once the
home of Colonel Nathaniel J. Scott. Today it is the home of the Auburn
University Center for the Arts and Humanities which hosts periodic programs on
art, history, literature and more. Open Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
Surf Side Water

Features a 450,000 gallon wave pool, a river that winds through
the park, 4 body flumes, and two speed slides. Also provides
picnic areas, pavilions, concessions and other recreation.
Whitfield-Searcy House

This Queen Anne home built in 1895 now
serves as the headquarters of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce. Open
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
